We recently got to visit the Hollywood Wax Museum Attractions in Pigeon Forge, TN. I was able to get some free and some discounted tickets and just wasn’t sure what to expect. Our entire family went – me, my hubby, and my 4 kids (ages 17, 15, 10 and 9). What Fun!
There are several attractions at the Wax Museum. We ended up getting to do them all so we spent the afternoon there. We did the Hollywood Wax Museum first. I haven’t laughed that much in a very long time. We were all being so silly and having a blast “meeting” all the celebrities. Most of the statues were pretty amazing and some of the scarier ones were pretty realistic. I was excited that I got to meet Edward Cullen from Twilight, sit with the Jeannie in her lamp and take a selfie with Dolly Parton. A lot of the statues have props and my kids ALL loved this. I am sure the other people visiting the Wax Museum thought we were crazy, but what a good time we had. Our tickets included going up to the third floor where you can go outside where the giant King Kong is. This is a beautiful view of the city of Pigeon Forge.
You can check out some of our fun below!
Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors was the second attraction we went to. We have done a lot of mirror mazes in the pigeon forge area. This one was very similar to the others. You have to wear plastic gloves when going through the maze to keep fingerprints off the mirrors. There were a couple of cool features of this like a rotating bridge you pass through and a room that had lights that reflected onto the floors. The only thing negative I can say about this mirror maze is that it was too short. We were done in just a few minutes. I would like for this to have taken us longer.
Our next stop was Outbreak. Now, three of my children chickened out and would not go through this. We have done another scary walk through adventure and when they were told this was even scarier, they decided they did not want to do it. So just my husband and my 10 year old did it. It was mostly full of jump scares (stuff jumping out at us or loud noises). It was mostly animatronics, only a few live actors. It was fun if you are into zombies but honestly we didn’t think it was too scary. My son thought it was scary and walked through with his hands over his ears the entire time.
When we arrived we were told Castle of Chaos was out of order but right as we were getting ready to leave, it opened back up so we were able to do it. This is a 5D experience. It combines a 3D movie with a shooting game. You sit in your seat and the room spins and you are to hit targets. At the end it shows who in the room had the highest scores. Four of us were in the top scores which made it even more fun! We have done a couple of other similar attractions in the area and this is definitely the best of those.
As far as the price, it’s fairly comparable to most of the other attractions in Pigeon Forge. You can buy a ticket that covers all the attractions at a discount. Overall we had a great time. I would recommend this for anyone going to the area. You can check it all out here.
