During this new standards-based experience, middle and high school students will use their critical thinking skills as well as teamwork to complete several challenges. The Stax Museum of American Soul Music is the world's only museum dedicated to preserving and promoting the legacy of American soul music.
Located on the original site of the Stax Records studio in Memphis, Tenn., the Stax Museum pays special tribute to the artists who recorded there, as well as other American soul legends, with a rare and amazing collection of more than 2,000 artifacts, interactive exhibits, films and galleries.

The Memphis, Tennessee-based Soulsville Foundation's Stax Museum of American Soul Music and Souleo Enterprises launchStax: Visions of Soul - a visual art exhibition celebrating songs from the iconic Stax catalog - July 17 through December 31, in what is the museum's first contemporary art exhibition in roughly a decade. Specially commissioned works by 16 painters, sculptors, and new-media artists will be on display.
